What is the 90-Day Freedom Build?

For 90 days (April–June 2025), I’m putting Lifestyle-Driven Wealth™ to the test—in real life.

While pregnant, working a 9–5, managing my energy, and running a household, I’m challenging myself to design and fund a more intentional life before my maternity leave begins.

Here’s what I’m doing:

  • Replacing part of my income through LyfStyled
  • Redesigning my weekly schedule to reflect the freedom I’m building
  • Using just one CEO Day a week to make bold, achievable moves

This challenge is both personal and public. It’s my experiment to prove:

  • Lifestyle-Driven Wealth™ isn’t about quitting—it’s about creating freedom from where you are.
  • You can prepare for transitions—like extended maternity leave—without relying on burnout or hustle.

Because freedom isn’t just an idea. It’s something you can build before life forces your hand

The 4 Core Goals

  1. Build It Like a Business: The €1,000 LyfStyled Challenge

Generate €1,000+ from LyfStyled products/services before maternity leave.

You get to see behind-the-scenes product creation, launch strategy, sales process, and your reflections on what worked (or didn’t).

  1. Run Life Like a CEO (on Mondays): The one-week workday challenge (Pregnancy edition)

Use only one day a week (CEO Mondays) to plan, build, launch, and reflect.

You get to see my make progress with just one focused day a week, how  I structure a “CEO Day”

  1. Fund the Transition: The Transition Fund in real Life

Use the Transition Fund Calculator to budget and save for an extended maternity leave.

You get to see how lifestyle and financial planning intersect and how to plan for life transitions.

  1. Honor My Health

Build freedom while listening to my body and honoring my energy, and not pushing through it.

You get to see how to adapt your goals to your energy, why health is a wealth driver, and what flexibility really means.

Weekly Freedom Logs

Week 1 – The Freedom to Rest & Redesign

This week, I had a surprising amount of physical energy, but I couldn’t focus on the tasks I originally set out to do.

So instead of forcing it, I leaned into what I needed.

Let me walk you through what I planned, what actually happened, and what I’m learning while building freedom in real life.

What I Tried This Week

My main goal was to complete a digital product that I could share with you and get my online store up and running.

On CEO Day, I woke up energized—but my brain just couldn’t handle being in front of a screen. Instead of pushing through, I shifted focus and spent the day rearranging my workspace to create a calm, welcoming environment for this 90-Day Freedom Build.

Before, my desk faced a small window with my back to the bookshelf and door. Now, I’ve positioned it next to the door with a view of the garden. I even added a cozy lounging space for breaks during the day.

This tiny redesign made a huge difference. It didn’t cost a cent, but it gave me the physical and emotional reset I needed.

The rest of the day, I prioritized family time and rest, rather than staring at yet another screen. Honestly, I’m proud of myself for choosing kindness over pressure. I’m learning to honor what I need—even if it doesn’t look “productive” from the outside.

This office isn’t just for working. It’s for dreaming, growing, and creating a life that fits me as a pregnant, working woman navigating a major life transition.

I’ve used neutral earth tones in the space. The desktop is made of organic oak. I brought in some spring blooms—these bright yellow flowers —and moved a piece of art that used to sit behind me into a new spot where I can enjoy it throughout the day.

Under my feet, there’s a plush rug that adds warmth and helps anchor the space. I often find myself tracing the grooves of the carpet with my feet—something that helps my circulation when I don’t feel like standing.

Most days, I start my work standing and gradually move into a seated position as I grow more tired. From where I now sit, I get to bask in the afternoon sun. I could take the curtains down, but spring days are still cold, and I appreciate the warmth that wraps around me. It feels healing.

What Actually Happened

Health / Life Update:

In real life… well, it looked different than I planned.

Physically, I had energetic days (like Monday), but others were slow. Some days I could work for a few hours, then needed a long nap. My iron levels are low, which means less blood is available for both me and the baby—leaving me tired, dizzy, and constantly needing sleep.

It’s tough, especially when I have big goals—but this challenge isn’t about forcing results. It’s about practicing freedom. That means letting myself rest and trusting that a better day will come.

I’ve committed to building lifestyle and financial freedom for the rest of my life. And when I remember that, I feel peace instead of pressure.

Transition Fund Update:

This week I checked in with my Transition Fund. Based on my calculations, I’ll need around €5,400 to cover my unpaid maternity leave.

I made no financial contributions toward that goal this week—but I’m okay with that. Not every week will be a ‘saving’ week. This was a recalibration week.

To be honest, that number feels like a lot to save in 90 days. Right now, I’m only able to save about 10% of that amount each month. It’s been a reality check—and it’s helping me understand just how much extended leave actually costs.

But having this clear number gives me clarity. And with clarity, I can take action. That’s the heart of the Transition Fund: it’s not just about saving, it’s about building the kind of security and freedom I want for this next phase of my life.

Win of the week

One small but powerful win this week:

I now have a workspace that supports the version of me I’m becoming—and I created it with what I already had.

Even more importantly, I gave myself permission to rest.

That, to me, is freedom.

If you’re working toward freedom too, here’s something that helped me this week:

I practiced the freedom mindset now—not later, not after hitting a goal.

I stopped waiting for everything to be perfect and allowed myself to live a little more like the future me I’m becoming. I reminded myself that my CEO Day is also my Me Day—because I’m building this freedom for me. And my family will benefit too.

How You Can Practice Freedom Now

You don’t have to wait until your bank balance hits a certain number or your life is fully planned out. Try one of these instead:

  1. Reclaim a space.

Rearrange a corner of your room, workspace, or kitchen to feel more like yours. A fresh setup can reset your energy and your mindset.

  1. Let yourself rest without guilt.

Rest isn’t a reward—it’s part of the design. Give yourself an hour, a day, or a weekend to just be.

  1. Make one small decision as if you were already free.

Ask yourself, “What would I do if I trusted my freedom was already on the way?”

Then try doing that—just once. Let it become your new starting point.

Building freedom in real life—one focused morning at a time.

This week, I created something meaningful—something functional—and something that reminded me why this 90-day challenge matters more than ever.

But before I take you through what I built, I want to tell you the truth: I didn’t check every box on my list.

And yet, this week was still a win.

What I Planned This Week

For Week 2 of the 90-Day Freedom Build, my intention was clear:

  • Build and soft-launch a digital product
  • Set up the LyfStyled webshop
  • Create visuals for my weekly update content

Each of these steps was meant to move me—and the LyfStyled mission—forward. Not in theory, but in practice.

What Actually Happened (and Why That’s Okay)

On CEO Day, I had the whole day blocked off. But pregnancy had other plans.

Physical energy is becoming a resource I have to ration. Even a brisk walk or short trip up the stairs leaves me breathless these days. That meant I had to be strategic—and gentle—with my time and focus.

I ended up completing two out of three goals:

  • I created a functional version of a digital product.
  • I shot and designed the visuals for this week’s update

And honestly? That’s more than enough.

The webshop will wait. I’ll get to it. But I’m proud of the work I did complete, especially because it moved the idea from vision to product.

My Adjusted CEO Day

Here’s what my “workday” actually looked like:

I started the morning at my desk but ended up moving to the couch by lunchtime. And surprisingly, that helped. The smaller screen space forced me to focus. One task, one window. No distractions.

Physically, the couch gave me more room to breathe—literally. As my belly grows, comfort is becoming a major factor in how I work.

In those few focused hours, I got 70–80% of the digital product done. Not bad for one morning’s effort.

In the evening, after my son went to bed, I picked the work back up.

My rhythm now looks like this: intense morning focus + gentle evening follow-through.

It’s different, but it works.

Transition Fund Update: A Moment of Clarity

My Transition Fund didn’t grow this week—but something else did.

My husband casually asked me,

“How much do we need to save for your maternity leave?”

And thanks to the Transition Fund CalculatorI built last week, I had the answer.

Clear. Specific. And ready in under three minutes.

Pregnancy brain fog is real. And if I didn’t have the tool? I would’ve been stuck calculating numbers that felt overwhelming. But with a few clicks, I had clarity.

That moment gave me two things:

  1. Confidence in what I’m building
  2. Validation that the tool works—not just for me, but for others too

Why This Challenge Matters More Than Ever

As I was wrapping up this week’s work, global headlines rolled in.

Fresh tariffs from the U.S.

A 90-day pause for some countries—but not all.

Uncertainty spreading fast across global markets.

These policies may not hit your wallet tomorrow—but they will shift supply chains, prices, job security, and long-term planning for people around the world.

That’s why this 90-Day Freedom Build matters.

That’s why lifestyle-driven savings matter.

That’s why tools like the Transition Fund Calculator exist.

I can’t control trade wars or economic shocks.

But I can prepare for my own transitions.

And I can help others do the same.

Because when the world feels unstable, clarity becomes a form of freedom.

This Week’s Wins + Lessons

  • I built a functional digital product
  • I soft-launched the Transition Fund Calculator
  • I adapted my work rhythms to match my energy and life

I learned that I don’t need 8 hours of hustle to get something meaningful done.

3 focused hours + intentional rest can carry you just as far.

A Tool or Insight for You

If you’re building something too—freedom, a product, a savings plan—try this:

  • Break your task into chunks
  • Aim for 80% completion
  • Start early, before distractions pile up
  • Give yourself grace when your energy shifts

Perfection is the enemy of progress.

Progress, however imperfect, is what builds your future.

Join Me for Week 3

Next week, I’ll walk you through the tools I’ve already created—what they are, when to use them, and how they support lifestyle and financial freedom.

I’ll be doing more desk work, which means managing my posture and comfort a bit more closely. Let’s see how that goes.

Final Thought

Building freedom isn’t about perfection. It’s about direction.

This week, I only completed about 75% of what I set out to do. But I moved forward. And that’s what this journey is about.

If you’re moving forward too, even just a little—I hope you’re celebrating that.
